FAUX

Overview

My newspaper concept aimed to provide commentary on news reporting, titled FAUX, a nod to its exploration of authenticity. I began with the masthead, opting for Noe Display in all caps to make a bold statement. Type hierarchy was then explored, determining sizes for headings, body text, and pull quotes, as well as their relationship with columns and images. A punk DIY aesthetic with authority guided design decisions. Utilizing a two-colour print and juxtaposing cut-out images with refined typography achieved this effectively. The paper was formatted in Berliner size to distinguish it from typical broadsheets and tabloids.
